There is a moment when you stop and wonder How on earth did I get here? This is the exact thought we had when we were helping our dear and special friends Karen and Andy set up the last details for their wedding day. And I guess this was Karen's thought almost four years ago, when she was helping us set up our own wedding in a place not too different from this. Memories and joy were filling our hearts while being a part of their own moment in history. Because this was our first wedding this year and because of a million other reasons, we really couldn't decide on a limited number of images, so we have created one of the longest but most beautiful posts ever. So get a comfortable chair, have a nice drink and enjoy.
The Beach of St. Andrews
OTI
Kyrgyzstan / 1 month
4 months ago i was travelling to central Asia to one of the most profound trips of my life. i thought i was going there to help people, but shortly after my arrival, i discovered i was the one in desperate need of help. They say a picture is like a 1000 words. It's true in some cases. However, i know now that life cannot be explained or contained in any kind of human instruments. Life must be experimented. Out of the ordinary, out of our ordinary. When you look at these pictures you won't feel what i felt or see what i saw, not by far. You will only be a witness of something i experimented. So, this post is not just another thing you see and admire. Oh, no, it's more than that. It's a dare.
/// And so my prayer is that your story will have involved some leaving and some coming home, some summer and some winter, some roses blooming out like children in a play. My hope is your story will be about changing, about getting something beautiful born inside of you about learning to love a woman or a man, about learning to love a child, about moving yourself around water, around mountains, around friends, about learning to love others more than we love ourselves, about learning oneness as a way of understanding God. We get one story, you and I, and one story alone. God has established the elements, the setting and the climax and the resolution. It would be a crime not to venture out, wouldn't it?
It might be time for you to go. It might be time to change, to shine out.
I want to repeat one word for you: Leave.
Roll the word around on your tongue for a bit. It is a beautiful word, isn't it? So strong and forceful, the way you have always wanted to be. And you will not be alone. You have never been alone. Don't worry. Everything will still be here when you get back. It is you who will have changed.” ///
